This sword is a reverse blade sword. The edge of the blade is on the inside of the curve of the blade. This feature is unique and enables the user a variation of techniques including short blade slashes and parries with an immediate counter strike. The curve of the blade is also perfect for practicing limb attacks since the blade conforms to the curve of the limb. - Blade: The blade of the sword is 440 stainless steel with the hamon along the edge of the blade. The sword comes factory sharpened. - Scabbard: The scabbard of the sword is wooden with a black gloss finish and black nylon sage-o wrapped around the upper half of the sheath. Painted on the scabbard is a golden Japanese kanji. The scabbard ends with a steel scabbard throat. - Guard: The guard of the sword is solid steel in the outline of an orchid. The guard also features a steel blade collar with a Japanese kanji printed into the steel. (the kanji means strength) - Handle: The handle of the sword is rat tang with imitation ray skin. Over the ray skin is black nylon wrap over two steel dragons placed on the handle for comfort and grip. The handle ends with a silver steel pommel.
