This is the economical Katana. Still hand made with a durable blade, full tang construction, hardened Ha, and the ability to be dissassembled. The sword can be used fuctionally...but it would be a shame to not display it as well. The sword includes a Sword Bag, Cleaning Kit, and One Tier Stand.

Blade: The blade has been handmade with high carbon steel, hammered out so that the carbon is evenly disributed throughout the blade for a consistent hardness. A bloodline has been added to the top of the blade to decrease the weight of the blade. The blade also features an o-kissake and comes with a thin edge already sharpened. This sword is full tang.
Saya: The scabbard is hard wood with a black glossy finish and bull horn Koi-Guchi (scabbard throat). The sage-o is tan cotton wrapped around a wooden kurigata.
Tsuba: The habaki is a one piece brass construction. The seppas are copper with patterened rims. The actual tsuba is a wheel cut out with jointed rays circling the Tsuka. Golden highlights are found on the rim of tsuba with patterns cut into the metal. The tsuba has been given an antique finish.
Tsuka: The Fuchi is bright steel with a Horse in relief. The Tsuka is constructed of hard wood over the tang of the blade with a tan cotton wrap and an imitation ray skin same. One bamboo mekugi secures the tang to the Tsuka. A steel menuki is found on each side of the handle. The Kashira is brightly polished steel with a Samurai on horse back.

  • Blade Length: 27.75 "
  • Blade Thickness: .25"
  • Blade Width 1.25"
  • Handle Length: 10.625 "
Product Description
Hand Made Sea Dragon Samurai Sword Katana Full Tang The Dragon of the Orient differs from the Western dragon in that they are typically benevolent and wise. This dragon is also the ruler of the water and the weather. In China the Dragon was the symbol of the Emperor and for power. It is similar in Japan as well. However, in Japan the dragon only had three claws as opposed to its Chinese counter part which had four. For the Samurai the dragon was a symbol of luck and strength. This is a hand made Katana with a water dragon on the Tsuba. The sword is full tang with a copper Tsuba. The sword includes a Sword Bag, Cleaning Kit, and One Tier Stand.
The blade has been handmade with high carbon steel, hammered out so that the carbon is evenly disributed throughout the blade for a consistent hardness. A bloodline has been added to the top of the blade to decrease the weight of the blade and give audible feedback when swung. The blade also features an o-kissake and comes with a thin edge already sharpened. This sword is full tang. The scabbard is hard wood with a dark blue glossy finish and a hardened Koi-Guchi (scabbard throat). The sage-o is blue and white cord wrapped around a wooden kurigata. The habaki is a one piece brass construction. The seppas are copper with patterened rims. The tsuba is solid antiqued copper with waves patterening the both sides and a golden dragon swimming in the water. The Fuchi is bright steel with a Horse in relief. The Tsuka is constructed of hard wood over the tang of the blade with a blue and white cord wrap and an imitation ray skin same. One bamboo mekugi secures the tang to the Tsuka. A steel menuki is found on each side of the handle. The Kashira is brightly polished steel with a Samurai on horse back.
